Chapter President's Welcome

Dear ACHCA CT Chapter Members, Colleagues, and Friends:

Thank you for the distinguished honor of electing me as President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Healthcare Administrators.  Over the past 8 years, I have served as a board member and most recently the Treasurer.  I believe that this experience has prepared me to fulfill the duties of the President.

When I was in my first internship, my preceptor urged me to become a member of the college.  He told me it was a group of individuals with the goal to support one another and work to better the industry.  I found this to be particularly helpful as a new Administrator in a challenging and demanding environment.

Our industry is no doubt a difficult one, evolving and presenting new challenges constantly.  The COVID pandemic was our most recent test.  During this time, our support for one another was crucial to ensure we would survive that task.  Thank you all for the sacrifice you made and everything you did to care of the most vulnerable of our population.

My goal as President is to continue to grow the college and provide assistance and guidance for those that are just beginning their careers.  Our partnership with the CAHCF and Leading Age will help to strengthen our Chapter and provide those resources to all Health Care Leaders.  Our board has worked diligently on bringing new initiatives to the college and I am excited to see them come to fruition.

I would like to thank Erica Roman, our Board, and the countless mentors I have had over the years to help me prepare for this responsibility.  I strongly urge anyone who is not yet a member of the college to join us in support for the future of our industry.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or any board members if you need anything.  Thank you all again.

Sincerely,

 Patrick Neagle

Patrick Neagle, Administrator
