Continuing Education for
Nursing Home Administrator Licensure Renewal
We urge you NOT to renew your license unless you have the required CEUs from the approved sources AND have the documentation to prove it. Read the law carefully (appears below). If you do not have the required CEUs, we urge you to seek legal counsel ASAP from someone who is familiar
in dealing with the State CT Department of Public Health.
SEE
Sec.

The sending of a Registration Form for any
Chapter event/seminar is a binding commitment for payment.
Substitutions are allowed.
Anyone registering for a Chapter event/seminar with a Member of the
Connecticut Chapter of ACHCA (same facility; same check) does so at the
Member rate.
Anyone arriving more than twenty (20) minutes after the scheduled start time
of a event/seminar shall not be eligible for Continuing
Education Credits (CEUs) for that event/seminar.
Anyone leaving before the conclusion of a event/seminar
shall not
be eligible for Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) for that event/seminar.
Cancellation requests received by the President of the
Chapter or Chapter Event/Seminar Contact Person (mail;
telephone; fax or e-mail) more than four (4) days before the
event/seminar will receive a full refund.
SURVEY GUARANTEE: If, on the day of the event/seminar, a facility is
visited by a Federal, State or local inspector/surveyor, a full refund will
be issued for all persons from that facility who do not attend the
event/seminar upon notification of the President of the Chapter

the American College of Health Care Administrators, 2) State Chapters of the
American College of Health Care Administrators and 3) the New England
Alliance for which
continuing education credit is offered.
It is the responsibility of each individual
Nursing Home Administrator to obtain and maintain CEU documentation as per
State Statute.
Questions? Please contact the Chapter President.
Miscalculated on your CEUs and need some in a hurry for your license renewal? We have some suggestions.
First, check with CT Chapter of the ACHCA, the two trade associations (CAHCF and
LeadingAge CT) and the Association of Long-Term Care Financial Managers (ALTCFM),
to see if anything local is coming up. If information is not available on their websites, call them.
Secondly, your fallback position is CEUs on-line and/or home-study, but remember, these must be from approved sources. Consider the following:
